Nantucket Diversity and Leadership Group

This past weekend Attorney Janeth Moreno was invited to educate the community of Nantucket and to provide immigration consultations for those in attendance. Attorney Moreno went with the Department of Protection from the Mexican Consulate. The Chief of Police from the Nantucket Police Department, Mr. William Pittman and Attorney Moreno held a private meeting where they discussed several topics, including treatment of immigrants, protection of the vulnerable population, as well as protection and support of victims that may qualify for U and T visas. Attorney Moreno advocated on behalf of the immigrants that are afraid to report crime due to the current national situation and political climate. The event was organized by the President of the Nantucket Immigration Community Alliance, Mrs. Maria Partida and the Nantucket Diversity and Leadership Group.
